According to the official statistics of Ukraine, as of October 1, 2016, stocks of grain and leguminous crops amounted to 24.87 million tons, which is 3.5% less than on the same date in 2015 - 25.77 million tons, as reported UkrAgroConsult.
Wheat stocks at the reporting date were lower by 16% - 14.48 million tons against 17.18 million tons as of October 1, 2015.
Corn stocks increased by 9% - to 3.99 million tons, barley stocks were higher than in 2015 by 5% and amounted to 3.43 million tons against 3.26 million tons in 2015.
According to UkrAgroConsult, wheat stocks were lower due to higher export rates in the current season. In the first three months of 2016/17, wheat exports were 13% higher than in the same period 2015/16 (6.18 million tons versus 5.48 million tons in July-September 2014/15 million tons).
