Copper prices on the London Metal Exchange have skyrocketed again. Copper on the LME for three-month delivery traded at $ 5,736.50 a tonne, after a 3.4 percent increase. And during the previous week, copper on the Shanghai Stock Exchange climbed 19 percent.
Markets are not responding to warnings from analysts at Goldman Sachs Group Inc., who consider it negative for the market that copper prices have risen too quickly. "The rise in metal prices after the US elections was too strong and too fast," an analyst at Goldman Sachs wrote in a comment.
