Representatives of metallurgical organizations from Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia on Thursday asked their governments to take measures to maintain the competitiveness of the metallurgical sector. Measures should include the ability to protect the market from unfair imports, unsustainable emissions trading and energy costs.
A declaration on this issue was adopted by a meeting on Thursday in Ustron at a meeting of the Polish-Czech-Slovak Commission. After discussing the situation in the metallurgical industry in Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia, the participants of the meeting drew attention to the need for the governments of these countries to take appropriate decisions on the most important issues of the industry and ensure a normal future for the metallurgical sector.
