ThyssenKrupp intends to invest at least 200 million euros in a plant for the production of electrical control systems in China. It will be a modern and highly automated plant with an area of 150 thousand. sq. m. The plant is expected to employ 800 people. And this is only the first phase of ThyssenKrupp's investment. The plant should produce up to 4 million units of steering systems per year.
“We offer our customers a full range of steering systems - from small cars to vans and SUVs. In this and over the last financial year, the production gap for that technology has reached 8 billion. Based on this, we are developing our production capacities on all continents. The new plant in Changzhou will be the main hub for the manufacturing segment of our business in China, ”said Carsten Kroos, Managing Director, Technology Components, ThyssenKrupp. Over the past three years, the concern has been devoting about 300 million euros to the development of its production network in China.
Investments in ThyssenKrupp factories create new jobs for the sustainable growth of the Chinese economy. In the 2015/2016 financial year, the Group generated revenues from sales in China of € 3 billion.
