The European government has launched an anti-dumping investigation against some corrosion-resistant steels from China to determine if these manufacturers were supplying products at unreasonably low prices to the European domestic market.
The EU said it would also launch an anti-dumping investigation on cast iron products from China and India.
Over the past few years, European steelmakers have complained that overcapacity in China has led to a flood of cheap products in Europe, prompting anti-dumping taxes on many steel grades.
