The global steel pipe manufacturer Interpipe has registered a trademark with the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Trade and Industry. The registration of the trademark in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is a step that will strengthen the company's position in the fight against counterfeit steel pipes.
“The company has delivered over 80,000 tonnes of tubular products to customers in Saudi Arabia over the past five years. Nevertheless, we are increasingly faced with competition from counterfeit products, ”said Andrey Burtsev, Commercial Director of Interpipe in the Middle East, Africa and Asia.
“Trademark registration is a measure to protect our customers from inferior quality counterfeit products and reinforces the company's commitment to providing the highest quality, certified steel,” said Burtsev.
Interpipe is an active member of the Steel Alliance in the fight against counterfeiting. It is a non-profit organization that currently has 18 reputable manufacturers of steel pipes, flanges and fittings as members. The mission of the alliance is to ensure quality and safety in the construction sector through close cooperation with government agencies, distributors and contractors.
