German car sales in China have tripled since 2009, to five million units.
More than a third of the global car sales of Volkswagen, BMW and Daimler are associated with the People's Republic of China. German automakers already sell one in three cars in China, a study shows. A year earlier, the share was still less than 30 percent, five years ago - 22 percent.
According to the information, this is primarily due to the large number of Volkswagen sales in China. Almost four out of ten Volkswagen vehicles sold will be delivered to Chinese customers. For BMW and Daimler, the share was over 20 percent.
Three German automakers have boosted their sales in the world's largest auto market, China.
