US President Donald Trump signed a bill on Thursday to lift restrictions on coal mining previously imposed by President Barack Obama. According to Trump, the cancellation allows mining companies to save more than $ 50 million a year and save thousands of jobs.
This is President Obama's second environmental regulation that the new head of state canceled this week. Earlier on Tuesday, Trump announced the loss of legal force of the law requiring American mining companies to make payments to foreign governments for the right to mine coal and other raw materials.
House Speaker Paul Ryan and Senate Republican Majority Leader Senator Mitch McConnell attended the signing ceremony for the law to lift restrictions on coal mining. Both represent the GOP legislators in Congress, the booty of Kentucky. In addition to the leaders of Congress, representatives of major energy companies and miners' unions attended the signing ceremony of the law to repeal the rules.
