Iran has announced that it will sell 100,000 barrels of oil per day to Russia over the next 15 days, receiving half in cash and half in goods and services, according to the Iranian Student News agency.
The details of the agreement were presented by Iranian Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zangane after a meeting with Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak in Tehran. Zangane said that a number of Iranian companies have already signed relevant agreements with Russian companies.
He noted that in November the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) made a decision to cut production volumes and cut their production by about 300 thousand. barrels of oil per day.
