The European Commission has decided to impose final anti-dumping duties on plates from China, backing temporary duties introduced last fall.
According to a study by the European Commission, the discharge rate is 120 - 127 percent. For European manufacturers, this means a significant decrease in profitability and return on investment. The Commission decided to keep tariffs at the level of provisional duties in accordance with the lower duty rule.
The Commission in October introduced a preliminary anti-dumping duty “on imports into the European Union of flat rolled products of unalloyed steel and alloy steel (excluding stainless steel, electrical steel, tool steel and high speed steel), coated or uncoated hot rolled steel with a thickness of more than 10 mm and a width of 600 mm or more, with a thickness of 4.75 mm or more but not more than 10 mm and a width of 2,050 mm or more from the Republic of China. "
According to the European Commission, the European Union is currently conducting 41 anti-dumping procedures against subsidizing or unfair trade in steel products, of which 18 are from China.
