The Turkish Steel Producers Association (TCUD) in a report for January this year noted that Turkish finished product output rose 12.7% to 3.24 million tonnes over the same period last year.
Turkey produced 2.04 million tonnes of long products, up 7.4% year-on-year. Sheet metal production rose 22.9% to 1.2 million tonnes over the same period last year.
In January, steel consumption in Turkey rose 4.4% to 2.89 million tons over the same period last year.
