Taiwan recently purchased 10,000 tonnes of steel sheet from Russia for shipment in May. The deal marks the second order since the 2017 Chinese Lunar Year celebrations, combined with 2 shipments this month, bringing the total to 40,000MT.
The previous two shipments of some 20,000 tonnes will be on board next week, with two weeks of arrival in Taiwan expected.
Thanks to Taiwan's anti-dumping measures against steel plates from China and Korea, the country's buyers have chosen to focus on sources from Russia and Turkey.
