EU steelmakers indicated that they are examining statistics on steel imports released by customs to assess the need for an anti-dumping investigation on steel imports from Iran, India, South Korea and Turkey.
The European Metallurgical Union said that the European Commission should take measures to control the amount of steel imports from the above countries.
In addition, the EU launched an anti-dumping investigation into the import of hot rolled coils from Brazil, Iran, Russia, Ukraine and Serbia. It is believed that the EU will make a preliminary decision in April.
