ArcelorMittal to Increase Production after Reconstruction of Plate Mill

Industeel France, part of the ArcelorMittal group, has undertaken significant technological upgrades to its plate mill in Le Creusot, France, with Danieli's participation. The plant specializes in the production of highly professional flat products and forged products for the aerospace, defense and nuclear industries.

The aim of the modernization is to meet the growing demand in the market for high quality surfaces in rolled products. The improvement in the quality of rolled products will be achieved through modernization using the DanHYD technology package. In particular, a new pump room, new hydraulic valves, ramps and nozzles, as well as a new electromechanical upper lift system and a special automation system.

This will allow higher pressure to be applied to descale with a higher impact force, providing wider spray widths, more flexible valve control, and efficient power control to the pumps. Operating costs will also be reduced through the maintenance-free design concept, along with reduced consumption of water and energy resources. Danieli is a turnkey project from design to installation and commissioning.
