Outokumpu supplies stainless steel for China petrochemical project

Outokumpu supplies approximately 500 tonnes of Forta DX 2205 Duplex Stainless Steel for Phase 2 treatment to Jiaxing Petrochemical Co Ltd in Zhejiang Province, China. Deliveries began at the end of 2016 and the project will be completed within two years.

These stainless steel plates are then supplied to NanJing Duble for pressure vessel fabrication and manufacturing. This company is usually engaged in the design, manufacture and installation of pressure equipment for the chemical and pharmaceutical industries.

“The project was developed according to INVISTA specification and Outokumpu was finally selected from other international stainless steel suppliers. Outokumpu has many years of experience in delivering the selected grade of Fort DX 2205 stainless steel, which has high strength and good corrosion resistance to ensure a long service life. Outokumpu material is sourced according to customer size, increasing efficiency in material quantity and welding, ”says Kenan Cosic, Project Sales Manager, Oil & Gas at Outokumpu.
