The Ukrainian company Ferrexpo announced that 2.524 million tonnes of pellets were produced in January-March this year, down 9.1% from the same period last year.
This is due to the fact that in January-February of this year, the company worked on a maintenance schedule for fifty-five days, and production only resumed on March 20.
In 2016, the company produced 11.2 million tonnes and exported 11.7 million tonnes of pellets, being a major player internationally.
