ArcelorMittal agreement in Poland: how much will metallurgists receive?

An increase in wages in the total amount of PLN 125 per employee, PLN thousand of one-time bonuses and an additional PLN 300 or more, depending on the results of the company, are the most important terms of the agreement with the steel concern ArcelorMittal Poland.

An agreement to be reached after several weeks of difficult negotiations between trade unionists and representatives of the management of the largest steel producer in Poland. Official signing of the agreement is scheduled for late April. The parties agreed that the basic payment will increase from May 1, 2017 and will not be lower than 2.3 thousand zlotys per person.

The agreement also guarantees a remuneration of one thousand zlotys for June and August of the previous year. If the planned EBITDA for 10 months of the current year (profit before taxes, depreciation and amortization) is not achieved, then the premium of PLN 300 will not be paid. If the result is better than expected, the premium will increase to a maximum of 20 percent, depending on the percentage of excess EBITDA.
