The European Commission has imposed anti-dumping duties on other categories of steel products from China. This is another European Commission decision on subsidized Chinese steel that has flooded the European market.
Earlier, the European Commission conducted an investigation into the matter, which confirmed that seamless pipes from China were sold to Europe at dumping prices. Chinese exports of these products received tariffs ranging from 29.2 percent to 54.9 percent.
In early May, representatives from EU member states agreed on a new methodology to help the EU "28" better deal with dumping, which is used, among other things, by the steel industry in China.
