Zaporizhstal confirmed its compliance with ISO 50001: 2011

In May, Zaporizhstal successfully passed the first supervisory audit of the Mill's Energy Management System for compliance with the requirements of the international standard ISO 50001: 2011. The audit was carried out by specialists of the company "Technical and Management Services", a corporate partner of "TUV SUD".

The main attention was paid by the auditors to the functioning of the energy management system and differentiated accounting of the used fuel and energy resources, effective planning. The level of involvement of the plant's employees in improving energy efficiency was highly appreciated by specialists. Particular attention was paid to projects aimed at consistently reducing energy consumption in the company's divisions. Also, the specialists of Technical and Management Services LLC trained internal auditors in the requirements of the international standard ISO 50001.

Zaporizhstal, against the backdrop of growth in production indicators, has achieved a steady trend towards a reduction in natural gas consumption in production. So, in 2013, 236 million m³ were used, and in 2014 - already 206 million m³ of natural gas, in 2015 - 204 million m³, in 2016 - 160 million m³.
