The Dow Jones, S&P 500 and Nasdaq indices closed at all-time highs last week, despite indications that US job growth is slowing and that the expansion of the world's largest economy is stuck at around 1%.
Unlike stock indices, all commodities are still flat in 2017, although prices for energy, metals and agricultural products are up 34% from their lows in January last year.
In conjunction with the S & P500, the GSCI Commodities are currently trading at their lowest level in 50 years. Moreover, the ratio is well below the long-term attractiveness of the investment.
