Trade unions fear the bankruptcy of the Gdansk shipyard, asking for the intervention of Serhiy Taruta, a Ukrainian investor in the shipbuilding company.
Trade unions in a letter warn Sergei Taruta about the situation at the Gdansk shipyard and the construction of wind tower elements on their territory of GSG Towers. In their opinion, there is no control by the new president Ludmiła Bumister and the board of directors. They fear that the existing contracts will soon end, and "new ones are not visible on the horizon."
President-elect Ludmila Bumister, who was elected in February, argues that there is no reason for concern, and the private investor regularly works in Gdansk and Warsaw. In addition, the Polish government is developing strategies that will secure the future of the company.
In the letter, the unions expressed concern about the lack of effective restructuring by the Ukrainian owners.
