China's aluminum exports rose strongly in May due to a forced decline in the first quarter of this year. Citigroup says exports have previously been hit by anti-dumping measures in the United States and other countries.
"Over the next few months, the pressure on the anti-dumping direction may be lower as exporters seek other opportunities," Citigroup said. The investment bank clarified that aluminum exports are expected to increase by 10% year on year.
China's aluminum production accounts for more than half of the world's aluminum production.
