Taipei, June 10. Mexico imposed anti-dumping duties on some steel exporters from Taiwan and China, believing that these firms were selling their products at unreasonably low prices in its market, according to the Ministry of Economy.

China Steel was the legal defendant in the case. Other Taiwanese exporters face a 52.57% financial penalty as Mexico discovered that these Taiwanese firms caused property damage to their own in Latin America, the Economy Ministry said in a statement.
In addition, Mexico also imposed 22.22% anti-dumping duties against China's Baoshan Iron & Steel Co .; 22.26% - relative to Beijing Shougang Co., Shougang Jingtang United Iron & Steel Co. and Tangshan Iron & Steel Co.
The Ministry of Economy of the country also added that other Chinese steel exporters will receive anti-dumping duties of 76.33%.
The anti-dumping investigation began in December 2015 after complaints were filed by Ternium Mexico and Tenigal, which accused companies from Taiwan and China of dumping sheet steel in Mexico.
