Dniprovsky Metallurgical Plant: the main workshops are standing still, but work is underway at the plant

Dneprovsky Metallurgical Plant decided to explain to the residents of Ukraine, who are actively interested in the life of the metallurgical plant, the situation with the dismantling of metal structures on the territory of the plant and the prospects for resuming the operation of the enterprise.

The corporate edition of PJSC "DMKD" newspaper DMK reported the following:

1. Dismantling of metal structures "for scrap" is not carried out at the plant.
2. The reopening of the plant is planned.
3. There are no projects regarding the fact that the DMK, instead of launching, was "cut" into scrap metal.

The enterprise has been shut down from the point of view of technology, but repair and restoration work is being carried out (including the restoration of metal structures), using the possibility of full access to all the main equipment - which is very limited in the conditions of existing production. The work was and is being carried out simultaneously on all redistributions of the enterprise and, naturally, they affect both the repair of mechanisms and welding and restoration operations with metal structures. Reliable information regarding the work carried out, in this case - on the repair and restoration of production facilities of PJSC "Dneprovsky Metallurgical Plant", is regularly published in the newspaper of the plant "DMK" and on the website of the enterprise.

Here is a short list of the works that were carried out by the plant personnel during the hot conservation period of the plant.

The bunkers of the sinter plant were cleared and the drive sprockets of the lamellar conveyor were replaced.

The blast furnace No. 1-M was repaired. The damaged elements of the furnace cooling were restored on it, a "bandage" was made, the armor was restored - all cracks that had formed during operation and could not be eliminated during the operation of the unit were eliminated. The blowing of the ladder has also been restored along the BF No. 12.

At the pulverized coal injection unit of the blast furnace shop, the restoration of the mill roll tires by surfacing has begun. Now this work is being actively carried out - the mill has already been dismantled, surfacing of the grinding tables of the mill of the pulverized coal injection unit has begun directly on the spot.

In the converter redistribution, the crane girders of the casting cranes were replaced, the equipment at the continuous casting machine was revised, the replacement of the terristor converters on the crane No. 35, which began in December last year, was completed - a serious scope of work to modernize the largest hoisting mechanism at the plant "hot" shops.

A lot of work was carried out on mill 400-200: to restore the operability of the rolling stands and palletizer, on refrigerators, a complete revision of all equipment of the mill lines.

Scheduled work, which was planned in other areas of the plant's production activities in connection with the hot shutdown of the plant, is underway. Those power units and devices
