EU launches anti-dumping investigation on low-carbon ferrochrome imports from three countries

The European Commission has announced an anti-dumping investigation into low-carbon ferrochrome imports from China, Russia and Turkey.

The complaint came from the Association of European Ferroalloy Producers on behalf of the sole EU producer with low ferrochrome Elektrowerk Weisweil GmbH. Presumably, imports of these products from China, Russia and Turkey have already damaged the European Union industry.

An investigation will be conducted in relation to anti-dumping investigations for products shipped from April 1, 2016 to March 31, 2017, under the customs product code 7202.49.50.
