Sergey Taruta is ready to act as the guarantor of the solvency of the DMK

The problem of shutting down the Dnieper Metallurgical Plant from a local one turns into a global one - today the lack of production at the city-forming enterprise is already fully reflected in most of the spheres of Kamensky's life.

If the situation is not changed in the near future, then not only the financing of city health care, education and utilities, but also the prospect of the beginning of the heating season in the entire city will be questionable. Oleg Nagorny, trade union leader of PPO Metallurgov, said this in his telephone address to MP Sergei Taruta, urging the former chairman of the board of directors of ISD, who at one time successfully brought the DMK out of the crisis, to come to our city and help the plant again.

The very next day after the telephone conversation, Sergei Alekseevich was at the DMK. In the meeting room of the plant management, he met with representatives of the plant's labor collective and journalists - both local and regional media, which was also attended by the first deputy mayor of Kamensky, Alexander Chernyshov.


From the very beginning, the distinguished guest emphasized that in the current situation he would act as a "negotiator", resolving issues both with the shareholders of the enterprise and with creditors, first of all, with suppliers of raw materials.

Sergey Taruta: “I have experience of raising this plant from ruins, and today I am ready to do it again”

- Sergey Alekseevich, tell me, in what state, according to your estimates, the plant is now, and what are our future prospects? After all, you, as one of the shareholders and as a person who is familiar with the work of this enterprise from the inside, can comment on the real situation.

- Unfortunately, as you all know, the plant has been frozen since March. And this in itself suggests that the situation is critical. And it requires immediate clear action.

The enterprise is now in a deplorable state. Accounts have been seized, more than 40 production facilities for collecting debts to suppliers are under execution, the plant's equipment requires urgent modernization. You need to immediately look for finance for minimal investment. At the moment, the enterprise needs a one-time financing in the amount of 4 billion hryvnia and new sources of raw materials supply in the required quantities. Only then will the plant be able to resume work. And only a comprehensive solution to all these problems can give a positive result and make the plant competitive in the market again. It is for this that I am ready to make every effort, I promise to devote all my working time to this and give the first results in the coming days.
