Russia's Norilsk Nickel said on Monday that in the second quarter, consolidated nickel production fell 8 percent from the previous quarter to 49,000 tonnes.
The volume of nickel produced from our own raw materials amounted to 48 thousand tons, which is 2 percent less than in the previous quarter.
Norilsk Nickel, one of the largest producers of nickel and palladium in the world, said its palladium production in the second quarter was 781,000 troy ounces, up 41 percent. According to him, the production of platinum increased by 46% to 190,000 troy ounces.
