Russian wheat export prices were stable last week after rising for 10 consecutive weeks as concerns about this year's crop quality and harvest eased.
Russian wheat with 12.5% protein and delivery in August Black Sea was $ 196 per tonne free of charge (FOB) at the end of last week, unchanged from a week earlier.
A Moscow consulting company said wheat prices in Russia remained at $ 197-199. Russian exporters are ready to sell grain more actively as they see confirmation of a new wheat harvest.
Egypt, the world's largest importer of wheat and the largest buyer of Russian wheat, bought 420,000 tons, including 300,000 tons from Russia, in its latest government tender.
The company said barley prices rose 5.5 to $ 172.5 a tonne amid strong demand from customers including Saudi Arabia and a delayed harvest in Ukraine. We are talking about the mark of $ 177.5 per ton.
As of July 26, Russia has exported 1.6 million tonnes of grain since the start of the 2017/18 marketing season, down 4.3% from a year ago. At the same time, 791,000 tons of wheat were sold, which is 36.7 percent more than in the same period last year.
