On August 16, the United States Stainless Steel Manufacturers Association called on the US Department of Commerce and the International Trade Commission to initiate anti-dumping and countervailing investigations into the import of stainless steel flanges from China. Major products are listed in US Customs Tariff Nos. 7301.21.1000 and 7301.21.5000.
According to the filing information, all types of stainless steel products imported to the United States from China in 2016 reached about $ 36 million. The US said it would have a 79.93% - 216.96% dumping margin on stainless steel exports from China.
