The automaker Ford plans to recall about 37 thousand vehicles from the Chinese car market due to a malfunction in the steering system. The Explorer range produced from November 2012 to June 2016 reportedly had a technical problem in the steering wheel.
As it turned out, after prolonged taxiing at low speed in dusty conditions, the steering wheel was completely locked, which in some cases could lead to a complete breakdown of the steering. In addition, power steering problems have been identified. When turning in a certain direction, an abnormal noise appeared in the power steering, which could also provoke a complete breakdown of the system.
Carmaker Ford will check the hydraulic boosters and anthers on the specified vehicles and, if necessary, replace the defective parts with new ones.
Earlier it was reported that the Hyundai Motor Group (China) Ltd will recall 214 cars in China due to a breakdown in the brake system.
