ArcelorMittal bought five brand new BelAZ trucks

PJSC ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih allocated UAH 141.3 million for the purchase of five new BelAZ trucks with a carrying capacity of 130 tons. In addition to the supply of the machines themselves, the contract also includes the supply of spare parts for them and maintenance. Automotive equipment for the technical park of the mining department was purchased as part of the enterprise modernization program. The new machines will ensure the removal of ore and overburden from the second and third quarries of the mining department. This technique will significantly strengthen the mining department's vehicle fleet and increase productivity.

The width and height of each new vehicle is almost 6 meters and the length is 17 meters. Among the technical advantages of the new BelAZ vehicles are the use of an alternating-direct current electric transmission with control gear based on microelectronics, a more powerful, reliable and economical engine, a combined hydraulic system, hydraulic disc brakes, a cab with ROPS system elements. The new heavy-duty dump trucks are equipped with non-crease-resistant cabins, which allows people to be saved in case of emergencies. In the car, the efficiency of the electrodynamic braking system has been significantly increased, which makes it possible to smoothly slow down the movement of the dump truck at the right time until it stops completely and ensures the stability of the car during braking. In the BelAZ electric drive, electronic components are introduced that simplify the detection of malfunctions of the electric drive and their elimination. The removal of the working brakes outside provided the convenience of replacing and servicing parts of the brake systems, both working and parking.

Particular attention is paid to the safety of work on heavy trucks. Among the advantages: a load and fuel control system (complete with GPS navigation) with mandatory inclusion in the existing automated dispatch control system of the mining and transport department and a digital display of the weight of the transported cargo on both sides of the dump truck, heating and air conditioning unit, centralized lubrication system , combined fire extinguishing system, body blocking under power lines, tire pressure and temperature monitoring system (SKT with external sensors), video surveillance system.
