Thanks to investments and the blocking of steel imports from the East, Polish metallurgical plants are increasing their foreign sales. Exports of sheet metal have increased by almost half.
At the end of 2017, the export of steel sheets from Poland increased by 43.2 percent. The reasons for the increase in exports of Polish sheet steel indicate an improvement in the global economic situation and the introduction of anti-dumping duties on supplies from many countries.
Last year, entrepreneurs fought to protect the European steel market. The result was the introduction of anti-dumping duties, including for flat hot-rolled products from China, Russia, Brazil and Ukraine. Sheet steel is the commodity for which duties are most often applied. The fight against dumping has swept the whole world and led to the elimination of supplies from certain directions.
