On September 20, 2018, at the mine "Operational" of the PJSC "Zaporozhye Iron Ore Plant", there was a sudden detachment of the rock mass from the roof of the mine at the horizon of 873 meters, which injured an employee of the enterprise born in 1979.
According to the press service of the plant, the victim was immediately provided with first aid and resuscitation measures on the spot. Unfortunately, the employee received injuries incompatible with life.
The company expresses deep condolences to the family and friends of the deceased, the ZZHRK said in a statement.
A special commission has been set up at the plant to investigate the circumstances of the accident.
Let's remind that at the mine "Operational" quite recently, on September 4, a mine worker also died as a result of a collapse.
The Zaporozhye iron ore plant was built on the basis of the Yuzhno-Belozersky and Pereverzevsky iron ore deposits discovered by the West Ukrainian geological expedition in 1948.
ZZHRK sells products to metallurgical enterprises in Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Austria and Poland, as well as in Ukraine to the Zaporizhstal steel plant.
