PJSC "ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih" has increased its car fleet 2.5 times

PJSC "ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih" put into operation 450 new open wagons (hereinafter - wagons) received under the contract under the financial leasing scheme. Earlier, at the beginning of 2018, the company received 50 new cars. Thus, this year the company put into circulation 500 wagons for the transportation of its metal products and the supply of raw materials to the plant.

As a result, PJSC ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih's own fleet (with the right to access the Ukrzaliznytsia network) increased two and a half times, which allows the company to carry out about 10-15% of transportation on its own, regardless of the situation on the rail transportation market and the availability of wagons. This will help reduce the cost of delivering outgoing and incoming goods, and will also provide an opportunity to consider new directions for the transportation of metal products and iron ore concentrate for export.

All new cars for the enterprise were manufactured by PJSC "Dneprovagonmash", which is one of the parties to the signed agreement under the financial leasing scheme.

The rolling stock of PJSC "ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih" is intended for the export of metal products and iron ore raw materials, as well as for the supply of raw materials to the enterprise. The main logistic directions are the transportation of sinter ore from the Shmakovo station (Pridneprovskaya railway), the transportation of metal products to the Odessa railway station, as well as the return of incoming raw materials - limestone, coal, coke, coke breeze. In addition to gondola cars, the company also uses dump cars, platforms, tank cars, pellet carriers, coke and cement carriers in cargo transportation.
