German industrialists visited PJSC "ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih"

PJSC "ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih", the largest mining and metallurgical enterprise in Ukraine, was visited by a delegation of the Federal Republic of Germany. The visit took place on October 26 as part of a business trip to Ukraine of representatives of German industrial companies, which are united by the non-governmental organization "German Eastern Business Association".

At the enterprise, the guests were met by the Deputy General Director for Technology and Environment Tivari Vinay, who presented the main investment projects of ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih PJSC. After that, the German delegation visited the industrial site, got acquainted with the work of the largest blast furnace at the enterprise No. 9.

Uta Kochlovski-Kadiaja, General Director of the German Eastern Business Association:

- Our business association works with 29 countries of Eastern and Southeastern Europe, Central Asia and the South Caucasus. We accompany German business and support it when entering the Eastern European market and, in turn, help companies from these countries to enter the German market. The members of our association are 400 enterprises - from large concerns to small businesses. Our business visit to Ukraine confirms that German business is really interested in working in this country and is looking for partners here. In general, the German economy is based on medium-sized businesses, and most of the companies that are here today are representatives of medium-sized businesses. Its difference is high technology, quality, specific solutions that can be easily integrated into production. PJSC "ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih" has a wide range of production and needs, and we believe that partnership with German business will be beneficial for both parties. For our part, we are very interested in developing sustainable trade relations with companies in the mining and metallurgical industry in Ukraine.

Tivari Vinay, Deputy General Director for Technology and Environment of PJSC ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih:

- Since the acquisition of the enterprise in Kryvyi Rih, ArcelorMittal has been actively investing in its development - in new technologies, reconstruction and repair of units. It relies on strategic projects to significantly upgrade the production capacity of the enterprise. 2006 to 2017 investments amounted to about $ 4.5 billion (CAPEX + OPEX). The company will invest $ 400 million this year. In 2019–2022 we plan to invest about $ 1.5 billion more and continue implementing our large-scale investment program. We are pleased to welcome representatives of the delegation and the city council of Kryvyi Rih to our enterprise. This is a good opportunity for us to present our company in detail and consider options for mutually beneficial cooperation with German business.
