Ukraine in the world ranking for the production of iron and steel

During 11 months of 2018, according to the World Steel Association, metallurgical enterprises of the countries of the world smelted 1,211.86 million tons of pig iron, including 1,135.71 million tons by blast furnace method and 76.15 million tons by direct reduction. The data is 2.39% higher than the figure of 1,183.61 million tons of the same period in 2017

Ukraine took 10th place out of 44 countries-producers of cast iron.
Steel production of the countries of the world in 11 months of 2018 amounted to 1,646.67 million tons, which is 4.69% higher than 1,572.85 million tons than in the period from January to November last year

Ukraine is in 13th place out of 64 steel-producing countries that provide data to the World Steel Association.
