In the structure of exports of Donetsk region 82% ferrous metals

Italy is in first place in terms of export destinations from the Donetsk region, the Russian Federation is in second, and the United States is in third.
In the commodity structure of exports of Donetsk region in 2018, 81.6% accounted for ferrous metals. As reported on Friday in Main Department of Statistics in Donetsk Region , the share of foreign exchange earnings from the supply of all goods to the Russian Federation is ferrous metals accounted for 54.1%, in Poland - 78.0%, Turkey - 87.6%, Italy - 93.1%, USA - 98.8%.
In general, the metallurgical enterprises of the region exported ferrous metals for 3 billion 955.1 million dollars over the year, which is 16.4% more than in 2017.
The share of goods with higher added value remained low. The share of engineering products in the export of all goods in 2018 was 5.0%. At the same time, in foreign exchange earnings from the export of goods to the Russian Federation, the share of machine-building products amounted to 25.3%. 62.9% of the region's mechanical engineering products exported to Russia. In general, in the region, exports of engineering products in 2018 compared to 2017 increased by 36.5% and amounted to $ 243.5 million.
Exports of ferrous metal products also increased in 2018 compared to the previous year - by 7.8%. At the same time, exports of chemical products decreased by 7.6% compared to 2017, and finished food products - by 41.9%.
