Export duty on scrap metal increased in Ukraine

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine extended the increased export duty on scrap metal, and increased it from 42 euros to 58 euros per ton.

On behalf of all metallurgists of Ukraine we would like to thank all the People's Deputies of the Verkhovna Rada, the head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Industrial Policy and Entrepreneurship Viktor Galasyuk, who made an important government decision today and voted for bill No. 9474.

Recall that during the operation (from October 2016 to September 2018) of the increased export duty on scrap, it became effective both for metallurgists and for the state - revenues to the state budget, from the export of raw materials amounted to almost UAH 1 billion.
