The second largest South Korean steel mill, Hyundai Steel, said the US Department of Commerce recently decided to lift its anti-dumping duty on steel sheets.
In 2015, the Department of Commerce launched an investigation into the sale of corrosion-resistant steel products from South Korea and other countries, claiming that they were selling for less than fair prices.
He calculated a final dumping margin of 47.8 percent for Hyundai steel products in May 2016 by applying an unfavorable finding to the facts (AFA).
In May 2018, the Department lowered Hyundai Steel's dumping duty to 7.89 percent, but increased it to 10.32 percent in August 2018.
Thanks to the latest decision, Hyundai Steel expects to increase exports of coated steel sheets to the United States.
