Metinvest, a vertically integrated group of metals and mining companies, is pleased to announce that the International Financing Review (IFR) magazine, the authoritative source of information on capital markets, has recognized Metinvest's debt refinancing transaction as the Deal of the Year to issue bonds among issuers from developing countries in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. IFR's annual awards are considered the most prestigious in the global financial community.
In its report on the award, IFR magazine noted that the deal, which used two financial instruments, was complex, but successful in all respects, allowing Metinvest to reduce the average cost of debt and refinancing risks.
