India Launches Anti-Dumping Investigation Against Imports Of Stainless Steel Flat Products From
China, South Korea, EU, Japan, USA and ten other countries.
This follows from the filing of the Indian Stainless Steel Development Association (ISSDA), Jindal Stainless Limited, Jindal Stainless (Hisar) Limited and Jindal Stainless Steelway Limited.
Other countries under investigation are Taiwan, Indonesia, Thailand, South Africa, United Arab Emirates, Hong Kong, Singapore, Mexico, Vietnam and Malaysia. The product in question (PUC) falls under HS code headings 7219 and 7220. PUC includes cold rolled stainless steel over 1250 mm, which was dropped from measures introduced in October 2017.
Excluded from the probe are hot rolled stainless steel 304 and up to 1650 mm wide from China, Malaysia and South Korea, which are subject to AD duties since 2015. Also excluded are cold-rolled stainless steel of 600 mm or more from China, Korea, EU, USA, Taiwan, Thailand, South Africa, except for cold-rolled stainless steel over 1250 mm. Razor steel and coin blanks HS code 73269099 are also excluded.
The Period of Inquiry (POI) is from April 2018 to March 2019. The injury investigation period will cover the periods 2015-16, 2016-17, 2017-18.
Last week, DGTR launched an anti-dumping investigation into imports of coated /galvanized flat products from the EU, Japan, the US and South Korea.
