The Indiana Steel Distribution Center will shut down and leave 50 people unemployed. Economic Development Director Greg Winkler said he met with workers at Mill Steel this week, offering to help them find jobs at other companies. The (Anderson) Herald-Bulletin reports that the Grand Rapids, Michigan-based company has reported declining demand for carbon steel flat products as a reason for the closure, which could occur this month.
