According to statistics from the United States Department of Commerce (USDOC), the United States exported about 39,000 tonnes of hot rolled steel in July, up 10.4% from the previous month but down 21.7% from the same month a year ago.
Among the main destinations, the largest share is accounted for by exports to Mexico, which is about 27,000 tons, compared with 23,000 tons in the previous month and 31,000 tons in July 2018. Canada was the second largest destination at around 11,200 tonnes. Exports to other countries amounted to less than 1000 tons.
