Severstal will improve product quality for automakers

PJSC Severstal has started the active phase of the project for the technical re-equipment of the hot-rolled cutting block of pickled steel in the coating shop No. 1 of the Cherepovets Metallurgical Plant. At the Cherepovets Metallurgical Plant, a hot-rolled pickled strip was produced on the previous combined cutting machine, which was subsequently used to make rims, spars and other automotive parts, which reduces the production cost.

Nevertheless, a car remains an expensive purchase, which for most Russians is only available on credit. Earlier it was practically impossible to receive a large amount of money for the purchase of expensive goods or for other needs without a certificate of the corresponding level of income and guarantors. But now there is an opportunity to apply for a loan without bureaucratic difficulties even online, having previously studied the rating of the best credit institutions and credit cards most suitable for the borrower.

The design features of the ACP did not allow the manufacture of products with a full guarantee of the absence of mechanical damage and scratches on the strip surface, and the diameter of the circular knives was 650 mm - to obtain high-quality cuts across the entire product line.

The reconstruction project involves the complete replacement of the combined cutting unit equipment with a new unit for cutting metal with a thickness of 1.5 to 6.5 mm. At the same time, the maximum weight of one roll of products produced on it will increase to 36 tons, and the reloading time of the disk shears will be no more than 5 minutes. The combo cutter unit at Plating Shop # 1 is slated to start up at the end of 2019 and will reach nominal capacity in Q1 2020.

The previous combined cutting unit has already been dismantled in the metal coating workshop No. 1. Employees of contractors from Cherepovets and Chelyabinsk began building foundations and installing the corresponding infrastructure. The equipment will be delivered by the end of October 2019.
