Metallurgical enterprises of Ukraine in January-September 2019 reduced receipts from the export of ferrous metals by 10.3% compared to the same period in 2018 - to 6,937,389 thousand US dollars from 7,736,155 thousand US dollars.
According to customs statistics released by the State Fiscal Service on Tuesday, during this period, ferrous metals accounted for 18.7% of total receipts from the export of goods against 22.39% in the first nine months of last year.
In September 2019, earnings from the export of ferrous metals amounted to USD 637 million 088 thousand.
At the same time, Ukraine in January-September 2019 reduced imports of similar products by 5% - to 963 million 818 thousand US dollars. In September, this figure amounted to 106 million 192 thousand US dollars.
In addition, Ukraine in January-September 2019 reduced the export of metal products by 4.7% - to 791 million 155 thousand US dollars. In September, they were delivered for 77 million 351 thousand US dollars.
During this period, the import of metal products increased by 23.1% - up to 835 million 783 thousand US dollars. In September, they were imported for 106 million 793 thousand US dollars.
As reported, in 2018 Ukraine increased revenues from the export of ferrous metals by 14.7% compared to 2017 - up to 9 billion 937 million 369 thousand US dollars. Ferrous metals accounted for 20.99% of total revenues from export of goods in 2018 against 20.03% in 2017.
At the same time, Ukraine in 2018 increased the import of similar products by 20.4% - up to 1 billion 366 million 681 thousand US dollars.
In addition, in 2018 Ukraine increased the export of metal products by 23.8% - up to 1 billion 110 million 033 thousand US dollars. Over the past year, the import of metal products increased by 19.9% - up to 967 million 674 thousand US dollars.
