China exported about 5.3 million tonnes of steel products in September 2019, increasing shipments of rolled steel by 11.6% compared to the same month a year ago. The total export value of steel products was about US $ 45 million, an increase of 17.9% year on year.
Among them, China exported about 3.33 million tonnes of long products, down 4.8% year-on-year, and exported approximately 117 tonnes of scrap, reducing shipments by 90.9% year-on-year.
In addition, from January to September, China exported about 30 million tons of rolled metal and 2,518 tons of scrap steel, down 0.6% and 99.2%, respectively, year on year.
