China's steel production increased by 8.4% year on year in the first three quarters of this year, to about 748 million tonnes, according to a report by the Chinese government.
In addition, by the end of 2019, China's steel production could reach 994 million tons.
During the same period, the total production of steel products in China amounted to 909 million tons, also increased by 10.6%.
