Steel production in India increased 3.5% to 84.18 million tonnes in the first nine months of calendar year 2019, up from 81.31 million tonnes in the same period last year, according to data released by the World Steel Association.
In the first nine months of 2019, global crude steel production was about 1.4 billion tonnes, an increase of 3.9% over the same period in 2018
... Crude steel production in Asia also increased by 6.3% year-on-year in the same period this year. ,
China's steel production rose 2.2% year-on-year in September; Japan fell 4.5% year on year; South Korea was down 2.7% year on year.
