ArcelorMittal is ready to offer a conditional solution for Ilva

ArcelorMittal is developing a plan to reaccept the 2018 agreement on the troubled Ilva plant, under which it acquired the troubled Ilva steel plant in southern Italy on three terms.

According to the report, after withdrawing from the contract, ArcelorMittal is developing a proposal for the Italian government, in which it will demand the restoration of legal immunity, the opportunity to revise its industrial plan and the layoff of 5,000 workers.

Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte has postponed a meeting with ArcelorMittal's LN Mittal hopadin this week, hoping that a Milan court will already rule on an appeal filed by official Rome last Friday.

The report also says that Economy Minister Roberto Gualtieri is studying the potential contribution of the state creditor Cassa Depositi e Prestiti to the stake in the Franco-Indian company that operates Ilva.
