According to the German Steel Federation (WV Stahl), German steel production in October was about 3.3 million tonnes, down 6.8% from the same month last year. The decrease was due to a decrease in the volume of orders.
Among them, production in blast furnaces fell 9% year on year to 2.2 million tonnes, and in electric furnaces - by about 2.2% to 1.1 million tonnes year on year.
In the first 10 months of this year, steel production in Germany was about 33.9 million tonnes, down 4.6% from the same period a year earlier.
